I just think Ikey is hilarious. He entertains me all day long.
Jovie was chewing on her collar. Ikey said, "Beansey, polka dot pajamas are not for eating. They're just for looking at."
He was sitting in his toy shopping cart when it tipped over. He looked up and deadpanned, "That was not great."
I was reading a Newsweek magazine. Ikey looked at a big picture of Mitt Romney and said, "This guy is Jon Stewart."
I asked him what shape a light fixture was, he said "Circle." I said, "Actually, it's a square." He recovered well: "Kind of looks like a circle."
If he sounds too bossy or whiny (or says "Go away Mommy" - where did he learn that?!), I'll say, "Don't talk that way, please be nice." He'll say, "You're a good lady." or "You're the best mom."
"Ikey and Bean are good friends together - like Buzz and Woody."
"Green and brown are good colors together. They're funky."
"I usually look like Justin Bieber."
"Why am I up-side-down? I'm so confused."
He asks to hear stories about everything. He says. "Do you want to tell me a story about a green balloon?" I asked him to tell me a story about a napkin. Here it is, and I'm not kidding or embellishing. "Once upon a time there was a napkin. It loved Ikey. It was happy. The end."
Beanie can say Mama, Dada, AHHH, and tickle-tickle-tickle. She doesn't sit still on my lap for storytime like Ikey did - and does.
