Ballet, Bonneville, Bakery, Bruges, Bikes

Isaac read a book while Jovie danced. We went hiking on Bonneville Shoreline trail just below the H Rock with some friends, but we lost both the other families before we made it out of the neighborhood.
I believe I got a sunburn from our first outing in shorts. I'm smart enough to put sunblock on the kids, but only just.
The kids took their lunchboxes to the patio at Caputo's while I ordered a Cheese Lover's sandwich. Man, it was good. After Jovie got to the caprese salad, there were only tomatoes and basil for me. She kept grabbing for my Pepsi, and I kept telling her it was just my drink. She said, "A nicer mom would share her cola."
After sandwiches, we got a brownie and a tea cookie at Carlucci's Bakery, then chocolate and strawberry waffles at Bruge's. Were we over-indulging? Yes we were.
You can really put money in Petunia for donation to arts programs in the City. I don't know how they get the coins out.

We checked out the fish at Aquarius Fish Shop and dropped in to Bingham Cyclery. I was going to get training wheels for a 20-inch bike that we have in our garage, but this 16-inch bike caught Ikey's eye and he rode it around the shop. He easily talked me into it, but we called TB and he told us to take it easy and reassess our inventory of bikes at home. The kids were whispering to each other on the drive home and I asked Jovie what they were saying. She said, "You're a Cajun Velociraptor." Hmm.
When we got home, I said, "Dad says you need to ride the little bike with training wheels and when he can tell that you're really trying and getting better so you need a new bike, we can get you one." He's never been too excited about the toddler bike because it is too small for him, and he has the Skuut after all, but he was anxious to show me what he could do. He said, "I am getting better...well, I'm not getting any worse am I mom?"
