Artists in (this) residence

We are a little Frozen-crazy around here. Isaac has seen the movie three times, and Jovie and I have seen it twice. We listen to the soundtrack (on our cool new wireless speaker thank you TB!) all day everyday. Jovie wears braids 24/7 and calls me "sister". Ikey said he's writing a play for Frozen that will be as good as the movie.  Here's a cute video of Jovie singing our favorite song:  http://youtu.be/CyscgZBwD7o

Ikey said he wanted to make a 3D car during naptime, so he packed up some paper, scissors, tape and markers and created this masterpiece.

It's decorated with a volcano for Jovie's benefit.

Ikey's been taking drum lessons from Cathy Foy at Backbeats Drum Shop since October. He spent all of the Christmas break deciding if he was committed to it, and since he's practiced every work day in the new year (I know...that's only two weeks!) I ordered him a real drum set. It arrived today to much fanfare and some dramatic flourishes.
