Our dear sweet and strong Mamere passed away on October 31st. She married an Army officer, worked as a nurse, raised seven children, built a beautiful church, and loved us all.
Mamere's favorite color was red. Nikki got these flowers for her from the "Utah Faucheuxes". The card read: Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.
The cousins served as pallbearers to put her near her beloved husband. |
This was Popa's last moment with his mom on this earth. My father is one of the greatest men ever, and Mamere is a big part of that story. |
Jacob, Monique, BQ, Rachel, Amy, Nicole, Calvin, Aimee, TJ, Abbie, Patrick, Michelle, Matthew, Kelsey Jo. We're missing Chad, Tobin, Laura, Caitlin, and Andrew.
Nicole and I straggled ourselves into each of the Faucheux families for photos:
The Mike Faucheux family: Aimee, Nikki, Jeanne, Laurette, Aunt Annette, Uncle Mike, Michelle.
The Pat Faucheux family: Uncle Pat, Nikki, Aunt Melissa, Aimee
The Tim Faucheux family: Nikki, Aimee, Aunt Jo, TJ, Uncle Tim
The Tom Faucheux family was just Tom, Jeanne, Nikki and Aimee on this trip. We missed everybody else, but Toby was in his new home in Wisconsin with a brand new baby, new job, and little boy with elbow surgery. Laura was caring for her three kiddos and Caitie was busy with her two. Everybody at home wore red in honor of Mamere.
The Cherry Faucheux-Beck family: Nikki, Matthew, Aunt Cherry, Aimee
The Clancy Faucheux family: Amy, KJ, Rachel holding Calvin IV, Calvin, Uncle Clancy, Aunt Kathy holding Camden, Aimee, Nikki
The Andre Faucheux-Hall family: Stacy, Andrew, BQ, Aunt Andre, Quenten, Abbie, Aimee, Nikki
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

I feel so blessed to have been there. Mamere left an amazing legacy, and I'm happy in my belief that she's with Papere again.
