It snowed over a foot deep in the past two days, and it's still snowing right now. Ikey heard hail on the roof at night, and he came down the stairs in the dark saying, "After we're done cuddling, can we go out in the snow?" I showed him that it was just hail, which isn't good for anything, but he was patient. When it started snowing for real, he yelled, "It's not just hazeling, it's SNOW!" He played outside for a couple of hours. He could stay out in it all day!
I saw him pulling the sled around the yard and looking at the sky with a very peaceful face. I asked what he was doing, and he said, "I'm imagining it's Christmas." Aren't we all?
Jovie is not as crazy about playing in the snow, and that's usually because she takes off her gloves and that can just be miserable. She left them on the whole day this time, so we were all happy. She'd be happier of course if she could use her thumbs, but that's a trick only 3 year olds can figure out.
