Jovie's musical tastes

Jovie: Mom, do you ever trade your passion for glory?

She ran up to me and started singing this song and I thought it was hilarious. I've never heard it before, but she must have learned it somewhere. I need to research her influences.

I played this song from Jimmy Fallon's comedy music album in the car. Toward the end of it Jovie yelled, "How did you get this song out of my head!?"

It's Jimmy singing the theme song from Fresh Prince of Bel Air in the character of Neil Young. As far as I know, she's never seen the Fresh Prince or heard Neil Young, but the combination must be MEANT for her.

I took Ikey to school and left Jovie at home with TB who was on a conference call. While I was out, I received a text message from him that said, "Please come home and turn down the music." I came home to find Jovie blasting Eye of the Tiger on the iPad.

The (obnoxious in my view) joke of "One. Two. Skip a few. Now I'm at one hundred." has been bouncing around our house for a few months. Today, while we were discussing whether it's possible to be so hot that it's infinity degrees (TB and I don't think so, Jovie and Ikey do.) Jovie came up with this stunner: One. Two. Skip all. Now I'm at infinity.

Jovie: Are you my guardian?
Aimee: Yes.
Jovie: What does that mean?
Aimee: It means I look over you.
Jovie: You're my guardian because you're taller than me?
