Jovie is three!

We had a party with the Burrows on her birthday with taco salad and a volcano cake as requested. Ikey and I worked on the cake for about an hour and had to wash every bowl and spatula in the kitchen when we were done.

As soon as she received this Rapunzel dress (plus hair, shoes and jewelry!) from her cousins, she was transformed into a princess.
Her princess character always includes this benevolent pose.
In following with the volcano theme, we did sparklers (pyroclastics!) in the cold back yard. TB was very disappointed because the sparklers from his childhood were much more incendiary and dangerous. He muttered "pathetic" more than once.

Grandma Pat made this cute little shrug! Jovie stole the bracelets from cousin Sierra.

Jovie is such a doll! She can do any character you can name. She loves to play the piano and dance. Her brother is her best play friend. She's about as smart as any little person you could imagine. She talks all the time and says really insightful things. She's kind of bossy and mostly wants a cuddle and a conversation. It's a little hard to get her to sleep at night because she wants to sit on my lap and "talk about stuff." She's very curious and asks a lot of questions and she really digests all the information she can get. She is the first one in our family to cut her own hair, write on walls with a marker and paint furniture with fingernail polish. She has a good memory of facts and experiences. She's brave and friendly. She has beautiful soft skin and the finest blond hair. She's the best baby girl I could ever want and she's quite an enjoyable person to spend every day with.
