Neighborhood tour

Our weekend activity lately is to go to real estate open houses in our neighborhood. Not the run-of-the-mill ones though...the monster homes. Last week, we walked to a 28K square foot marbled mansion on four acres which is listed for $17 million which is down from $29M eight years ago. Check it out here. Ikey told the agent, "We're just looking at this house to see if it would work for us to live here." That house didn't work for us. This week we rode our bikes to a giant house with a swim-up bar in the pool and an underground tunnel to the housekeeper/nanny's house. Ikey said it was perfect for his model trains. It's a steal at $4M. Our plan for next week is this one and this one. I usually love the yards of these houses, then I just feel overwhelmed at the thought of choosing furniture, art, furnace filters for such huge places. Needless to say, we aren't buying one, but we will keep touring the neighborhood until they tell us to stop.
Jovie took a few pictures of her ride. I guess she doesn't have the best view.

Our next door neighbor was also at this open house. When she saw us load the kids up in the bike trailers, she said, "I was wondering who was just out for a family ride and decided to drop in to buy a mansion."
