Mitch's birthday

We love Mitch!
We made brownies with flaxseed instead of eggs, because we had one and not the other. They were particularly gooey.

We met some of Mitch's friends and family at Rio Grande Café for Mitch's birthday dinner. Ikey LOVED this classic SLC restaurant in a former railroad depot. They turned on the model train at his request. Jovie went to talk to Mitch's nieces, Holly and Heidi. She said, "Do you like being sisters? I don't have any sisters." Heidi pointed her toward her daughter and Holly's three daughters and said, "Looks like you could have four sisters sitting right there." Those girls are seriously adorable, and Jovie tailed them the whole night. They dared her to run into the boy's bathroom, which she did. When her food came, I called her over to my side of the table.
She said, "Mom, move my food over there. I'm trying to make..."
"Friends?"
"I'm trying to make sisters with these girls."

Also, it was the 11 year anniversary of TB and my first date. Blind date. Lunch only. TB is no fool.
