Camping and hiking for Labor Day

Ikey got a fresh new haircut to start school next week.
We ate Vietnamese food at Oh Mai! and listened to music and met friendly neighbors at the Blue Moon Festival at Holladay Town Square.
Jovie danced like a mad woman: http://youtu.be/vqZg6duNTWg
We set up the big tent and blow up mattresses in the back yard and everyone camped out.
In the morning, we enjoyed muffins and hot chocolate on the deck. It was not quite chilly enough for beanies and jackets, but we were camping, so we had to.
We went to Brighton to hike around Silver Lake and up to Twin Lakes. We've never taken the Twin Lakes detour before and we thought it was fun. We'll do Lake Solitude next time.

It started raining and thundering when we got up to the lake, so we made a beeline off the top of the mountain and Ikey warned every hiker we saw on the way down.
We had a little treat at Brighton Store and CafĂ©. We drove over Guardsman Pass to Park City and picked up a ski helmet and goggles for Jovie at Silver Star Sports. The kids entertained all the diners with their piano skills.
