This time, I wore a rash guard over my two-piece swimming suit, hesitated a long time before jumping in the cold water, and only did low-impact tubing with the 4-year-old. I'm a different person now who already scored a sweet husband. I guess you could say that I've let myself go...
Jovie instantly fell in love with Zandria, the Taylor's niece. Zandria was a very good sport and very fun for all of us, but Jovie especially. Jovie was very brave about trying the tube after watching 8-year-old Alex whip around the lake and all over the wake. I think Jovie talked to Zandria the whole time they were on the tube.
I rode with Ikey and TB just long enough to take a few photos because I really hate tubes and the whole water thing... When we were climbing on the tube, Ikey said, "I'm really nervous. I'm scared. I don't think I want to do this." But he actually was pretty brave because he agreed to try it and he stayed on with TB long after I was reeled in.
Later, Ikey rode the tube with Alex and I swear we towed them around the lake for like 15 minutes. They were deep in discussion the whole time. I asked Alex what they talked about and he said, "We talked about trains. Isaac said he likes trains."
TB showed off those legendary big legs on the slalom ski with tons of style.
I was attacked by some kind of ticked-off insect so my hip was itchy and red the whole day. That's what I get for spending too much time on the boat and not enough time in that beautiful turquoise water.
Jovie borrowed my shades while TB drove the boat and dragged Alex and Isaac around the lake for...forever. We could hardly talk Isaac off the tube. Here's a movie of all the live action: http://youtu.be/2VyLFRqQG34
Dave, Jill, Alex and Ben and Zandria were so fun and we had a great time on their boat all day. Ikey fell asleep on the ride back to the beach. Jovie never did stop talking to Zandria. We went to Hometown Drive In for shakes and burgers and I fell asleep on the drive home.
