Handel's Messiah
In our second year of the tradition, Jovie and I went to a performance of Handel's Messiah at a church near our house (near-er this year!). We talked my mom into coming on a really cold evening this year and it was fun for us ladies. We sat near the back of the cultural hall, but they had a screen with images of the performers. Remembering the Christmas Carole SingAlong at the basketball arena, Jovie said with all seriousness, "OK, when we get on the jumbotron, what should we do?" Needless to say, they were not doing crowd shots on the screen at the church.
Jovie was kind of quiet and peaceful. At the beginning of every song, she asked, "Is this the Halloween Chorus?"
