Rainy Day

It's been a rainy week, so I dress Jovie in weather-appropriate tall boots and raincoat. 

 As soon as it started hailing, she ran outside in her summery nightgown.

Art Night

The next week, Ikey was sent to the principal's office for drawing this cartoon on the back of his spelling test. He's a brave little smart aleck. 

Spring Training

I'm so lucky to have sporty friends. Staci has us on a training program to get ready for the Ogden Half Marathon and we're getting faster and going farther. I got some new running shoes. Nic and I have been training on bikes for her mountain bike trip and a bike tour we have planned for the summer. I never train, so this new plan feels great!

1st Grade Spring Program

Jovie wore a sequined jumpsuit and a beautiful real amber necklace that I scored at a charity jewelry luncheon.

Horton the Elephant Day

It snowed on Sunday night, so Jovie and I skipped school on Monday and hit the slopes at Canyons Village. Jovie got to choose which runs to try and where to it.  We discussed the birds and the bees (don't ask her, it's for parents to talk to their own kids about) lots of ski tricks, and ski lodge decoration schemes. It was probably top five most fun days of my life.

1st Grade Spelling Bee

The movie of the class spelling bee with Isaac in 1st place (two weeks, 50 words correct out of 50!) and the whole 1st grade spelling bee with Isaac tied for 1st place (another 25 words correct).
