Newest tricks

Isaac can dress himself...and finish a whole magazine by himself. He likes Newsweek, which is a little too left-leaning for his grandpa.

Stage 5

These were the two best looking guys at the final stage of The Tour of Utah. Todd acquired VIP passes for us so we had a great view of the start/finish line.
The racers went around Library Square and Washington Square for 90 minutes and Sulzberger won!

We were really close to the podium and the green room so I got to say "good job" to all the guys. Here's Salzberger headed to get his medal for the stage.
I posed with Oscar Sevilla. He won the best young rider jersey in the 2001 Tour de France.
Alex Howes is a 21-year old amateur racer who won Stage 4 (the queen's stage: 93 miles with three huge climbs) and the blue jersey for the best young rider in this year's Tour.
I got a picture with Alex in the polka dot jersey that he won for being the King of the Mountains - the best climber in the race.
Mancebo of Rock Racing won the yellow jersey with the best time for the five stages combined. We've been cheering for him in the Tour de France in previous years. I thought his name was Francisco, but the announcers called him "Paco" the whole time.
I got a picture with Mancebo just after the awards ceremony.
We all had a great time at the Tour of Utah this year!

Stage 3 and Stage 4

Michael Ball is the owner and designer of Rock & Republic jeans and Rock Racing. Oscar Sevilla and Francisco Mancebo are behind us warming up for the time trial at Miller Motorsports Park. Toby built MMP and it's a very cool venue for racing. This is Floyd Landis just after his time trial run. I'm a huge fan of his and I'm glad to see him racing again with a new hip.Dave Zabriskie is a Utah rider, and one of only four Americans to wear the yellow jersey at le Tour de France (Landis and Lance Armstrong and LeMond are the others.) DZ wears this stars and stripes uniform for all time trials this year because he's the national champion in time trials. I'm a huge fan of his too.
TB and Isaac enjoyed the beautiful weather at the start of Stage 4 on Park City Main Street.
The start of the race was so exciting!
Isaac is a big fan of racing.

Isaac jumps

We thought Isaac's grandma would like a new movie to watch while she's in another state with his brand new cousin Sarah.

Tour of Utah

I love the Tour of Utah. Isaac is a big fan and has already been twice. Last year, he was a little easier to carry around.

This year, we went to the Prologue that started at the Capitol.
We saw the tricked out team vehicles and sweet time trial bikes.
On Wednesday, we took the bike trailer to research park for Stage One. We cheered as Francisco Mancebo and Oscar Sevilla arrived at the finish. We posed for a picture with Bobke (Bob Roll). We said hey to Dave Zabriskie. He said "Nice kid." We waved at Floyd Landis.Someone asked if I was Jeff Louder's wife. (He won the Tour of Utah last year.) Obviously I'm not, but she must be hot. We saw Prologue winner Bookwalter and the other members of BMC. Isaac ended up on top of the podium.

We plan to attend thre more stages this year and cheer the whole time!

August Vacation

We stayed in a cute little cabin in Moab on a really hot day. Isaac LOVED the cabin. We hiked to Morning Glory Arch in Negro Bill Canyon because it was the coolest place in town.Isaac is always sure to check out the scenery and chew on something. This trail is noisier this year than any time we've done it before.
We went to Telluride to celebrate our third anniversary. It is a cool little town, with beautiful mountains all around. Telluride was much cooler than Moab, but Isaac didn't mind dressing up. We went for a drive up Ophir Pass.Isaac loved the two Model Ts we encountered on this high altitude drive. One of these is all original, including paint and wooden spokes. These guys drove from Massachusetts and had been over most of the high altitude passes in the area already. The little guy was cheerful for most of the time, as usual. We stopped at Bridal Veil Falls for a family picture. We hiked up to Bear Creek Falls. At our romantic anniversary dinner, Isaac sat in this funny high chair apparatus.

Adventures

Isaac and I had a very delicious waffle at Bruges on 3rd South. Ours had dark belgian chocolate and strawberries on top.We saw a baby snow leopard at the zoo...and a baby giraffe...
This post will tell you that Isaac and I have a great time together, and also I'm an awful photographer with cell phone equipment.
