Because my family was flung all over the US this year and because TB had never tried a Thanksgiving away from home, we traveled to Coronado, California to spend the holiday at Pete and Dan's house with Mark and Kate and Abi. The weather was beautiful!

Isaac picked and "sorted" limes.

Did you know that limes turn yellow when they get old?

We rode beach cruisers all over the island in a little gang. This little bike trailer carried Thanksgiving groceries the next day once the babies were out. We only left the island once, and that was for a shopping trip to Trader Joe's.

We went to the beach every day.

Isaac loved the sand and ate some of it and got some in his eyes.

Isaac and Abi played together really well. They took turns stealing toys from each other.

The team worked hard on a delicious Thanksgiving feast.

I'm pretty sure we drove through Paris on the way home. It was such a long drive for one day! TB and Isaac were troopers, and I mostly just slept through it.

We had a great time with good friends and lots of food. We were so glad to arrive home to cold weather and our cozy house.

Doesn't he look frustrated? Isaac learned to turn around and back down the stairs while we were on vacation, so he tried that trick at home and gets upset when he doesn't get anywhere. He isn't really "stuck" in this gate, just stopped.
