Buenos Aires

TB worked at the World Psychiatric Congress in Argentina so I came along. This was our first South America vacation together (we've both been to Peru, but not together), and there was so much to see. The architecture seemed kind of European to me (although I've never been to Europe) and the monuments were so monumental.

September 18

The kids were watching Tangled while I was cleaning up the house in anticipation of my HUGE vacation. I wanted to take a photo of the gorgeous little people face-to-face so I stepped between them and the TV. It looks like they want me to move.
We shut the door to Ikey's room at naptime and bedtime so he doesn't wander around. During the movie, he told me, "Rapunzel is very good with her door open. She doesn't try to sneak around." I guess he hasn't seen the end of the movie where she sneaks out for good. Don't tell him.

September 17th

Here's the news for today for TB who is in Argentina. Jovie is beautiful and sweet!

I picked her up from naptime today and she was wearing only one sock. I said, "Where's your sock Jovie?" She said, "I can't find it." I'm not kidding. It's her 17 month birthday today and she's BRILLIANT!

Ikey was playing with all the new/old metal semis, trailers, dumptrucks and babbling on and on. He said, "Michele Bachmann. Michele Bachmann. What is that?" I said, "What is Michele Bachmann?" He said, "I don't know." I don't either. Her name only comes up when we are appalled about some new crazy thing she said. I'm going to talk about her even less from now on.

This morning, he said, "Do you think Dad misses my face while he's on a trip?" I'm sure he does little guy.

Birthday party and swimming lesson...

Here's the little sweetie pie telling me all about dolphins just before a hike. She talks like CRAZY! It's hilarious to hear this little tiny person talking.

Summer Fun

Jovie was very interested in TB's work on washing windows. She followed him around the house this way.We hiked up to Timpanogos Cave in the rain with cousins from Draper and Tampa.ABC School is on a summer break, but we still have a good time with cousins on field trips. This one is at the Thanksgiving Point Children's Garden.

TB and I LOVED the Indigo Girls concert. My family gave me tickets and babysitting services for a birthday present.

Jovie is a good mover and talker and a sweet 15-month old in the 1%ile for weight (skinny!) and still no teeth.

San Diego vacation

Happy Independence Day fellow Patriots!

We had the greatest time in San Diego/Coronado visiting our friends Peter and Dan, celebrating Independence Day and partying for my birthday. It was a long drive, but we traveled in style, with treats and lollipops.

The beach was beautiful. This beach babe was beautiful.The parade was AWESOME!The patriotic babies were happy. As much as Ikey likes ears, Jovie likes hair. She was running her fingers through Ikey's hair while he slept on the drive home.

Miami vacation

TB and I took our talents to South Beach this month. We rode Deco Bikes all over town. We did a stand up paddle boarding tour of Miami Beach's Little Venice. Todd took a kite boarding lesson on the beach. We had breakfast at the News Cafe. We sailed in Biscayne Bay. It was awesome.
