That's it for summer!
We went to the zoo on our last day of summer. This summer wasn't quite what I expected, but it's exciting to be living so close to each other in the little townhouse and planning our new home. We didn't do quite enough bike riding, camping, or road tripping, but there's always next summer!

Millcreek Car Show
We love the burgers and classic cars at the Millcreek car show. We really loved this pink Cadillac with an adorable pink camp trailer. So cute!
This year the kids also joined the dance party and learned to do the YMCA dance. We sat on the lawn to watch the first half of Cars, until it was just too late for this crowd.

Oktoberfest with Tim and Jo
Aunt Jo and Uncle Tim came all the way from Florida to visit us and see the wildlife in Yellowstone. They're always so nice and it's fun to see far flung family! Nikki and I showed them around Oktoberfest at Snowbird.

The quickest trip to Colorado
We went on the world's fastest road trip to Colorado. We left in the afternoon and saw Thomas on the road.
Ikey brought one of his 3D paper toys on the adventure.
We stopped in Rawlins, Wyoming to check out the haunted prison
and eat at Bucks,
where Jovie got a little goofy.
We forgot to fuel up in Rawlins, and pretty much ran out of gas late late at night 40 miles outside of Cheyenne where there happened to be a gas station that was closing in ten minutes. Lucky!
We made it to Little America in Cheyenne, Wyoming almost in the middle of the night. In the morning, the kids chased around the bunnies that live there.
We drove to Boulder, Colorado to check out the Big Chill appliances. where we met the founder/owner of the company.
He told us to get lunch at Snarf's and we did and it was good. We drove on really beautiful mountain roads to Steamboat Springs and checked into Nordic Inn. We bought some souvenirs and ice cream on Lincoln Ave. and had nachos and margaritas at the Cantina. The next morning, we drove home through more pretty roads in a pretty, cloudy weather.

Making things out of paper...
We didn't bring very many toys to our little tiny townhouse, so the kids make toys out of paper. We have a whole town of NYC / Washington DC / Cairo set up on the TV stand. Here's Ikey's drawing of the scene.

Triathamom
Idie, Nicole and I did the Triathamom sprint triathalon in Riverton. I guess I'll just have to do pool triathalons until I get professional help for my water psychosis.

Summer fun
The kids did RSL soccer camp together.
They swam in the pool at our townhouse on Wood Duck Ave.
Ikey always had his nose in a book. He ran into a lot things before he came up with this technique for reading and walking.
