Ikey says that Santaland was one of his highlights of the trip. It was a half-hour long line through a train-themed wonderland to see Santa. Nothing wrong with that.
Macy's was a little chaotic and kind of a mess, but kind of charming because of "Miracle on 34th Street" and all. The escalators on the top five floors were wooden, which we all liked a lot.
We ventured farther south to Eataly, which is a market and collection of restaurants created by Mario Batali and Lidia Bastianich. Once I heard that it was the biggest new tourist draw, I just had to go. We had pizza and pasta and cannolis and we all enjoyed them.
We walked around the neighborhood and saw the Flatiron Building. Jovie is pretty sure we have one of these in Utah.
We rode the subway to the west side and shopped for trinkets on Canal Street. The Laydens picked us up and we drove around by NYU and Washington Square. I was sitting in the car when Owen Wilson (in a beard!) drove up next to us.
When we got home, Mitch gave Isaac and Jovie a bunch of presents and Marsha made a birthday cake, so we sang to Isaac and ate up.
