We had an early morning playdate at a friend's house. Ikey was the only boy and he was so well-behaved, until it was time to put away the toys and he (inadvertently I believe/hope) crashed a little shopping cart into a wall of our friend's new house. It was embarrassing, for me, not Isaac.
There were a lot of painty teenagers wandering around the neighborhood, so we walked out on Bonneville Shoreline to check out the activity. It appears that East High had painted the H Rock, so the Highland kids were fixing it up.
We decided to make a surprise stop at Laura's house with a box full of peaches, pectin, and sugar and talk her and Caitlin into making freezer jam. We made the hugest mess in Laura's kitchen while the kids played everywhere. Good thing she's a good sport. Keep your fingers crossed that the jam sets up because I bought a weird box of pectin from the closeout bin at the grocery store. We got a surprise invitation to a neighborhood dinner at the wardhouse and since I made a mess instead of making dinner, we jumped on it. The food was good and there were lots of friends. Ikey cheered on the egg toss. Jovie dove right in to a pie eating contest.
They got their faces painted and they ate a lot of desserts and sodas.
